Harbat - the crimp

The crimp roams the streets at night, from tavern to inn and from bar to bistro. He starts his shift late in the evening, when the drinks have already flown freely. And when the ignorant, hapless drunks are too doused to think straight, he engages them in conversation. He promises them wealth and luxury, and what more they hunger for. All they have to do, is sign this here document. A little cross at the bottom will do. Oh, I'll fill in the rest later.

The next morning these men awaken with a wooden head in a cargo hold of some ship sailing off towards far away countries.

"Get up, you worthless keg of ale. I'll teach you the meaning of the word 'work', you scoundrel! Now on your feet and reel in that sail!"
